The Kauai Amateur Radio Club (KARC) will be holding a one day study session followed by a License Exam (See Calendar for next Exam) 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. at the TO BE ANNOUNCED.. Morse code is no longer a requirement for a ham license! Study material for Technician and General amateur class licenses cost $8.00 each. The exam fee is $14.00, set by FCC. The License Exam is open to ALL wishing to take an exam for Technician Class, General Class, or Extra Class License.  The study session will begin at 8:00 AM.  If you only want to take the exam, please show up at 3:00 PM. The License Exams will start at 3:30 PM.  You must bring two forms of IDs.  One must be a photo ID.  For upgrades, bring a copy of your current license. Please NO walk-ins. he Kauai Amateur Radio Club is offering this study session to help you earn your license.  The one day study session is NOT a class, It is a guided study consisting of six 45-minute reading periods with breaks between periods.  You must be present all day for the study session.  This is the most efficient way to maximize attention span against study fatigue. We tell you how to study in an organized way and then give the test as soon as you are finished.  It is a proven "winning formula".  Short term memory is the "secret" of the high success rate.  All exam questions will be on the study guide during the session.
