An Amateur Radio license exam session will be administer by Volunteer Examiners on Kaua`i about every three months.  Check the KARC website at www.kauaiarc.org for time, location and details.  Reserve your space to be a ham!

The Technician license is your gateway to the world-wide excitement of Amateur Radio… and now you do NOT need to learn Morse code!  You will be tested per the policies and procedures used by the Volunteer Examiner Coordinator (VEC) and the Federal Communication Commission Rules (FCC).  The administering Volunteer Examiners will offer Technician license and any upgrade exam.  The testing fees amount is set by the FCC.

Here are some Basics for License testing.
You MUST bring the following:
Two forms of ID, one must be a photo ID (driver’s license or similar)
Submit photo copies of the two ID's
Submit photo copy of your Ham Radio License if upgrading to General or Extra Class
Your CSCE from previous test session (if you are seeking credit for elements already passed)
A PENCIL and PEN
The Testing FEE of $14.00 (cash)

You may bring a calculator to the test session, but you must prove to the examiners that you have cleared the memories, and have no formulas stored in any other way.  No other papers, folders, notes, etc. are permitted.  No one is allowed to leave the testing room before turning in their completed test papers and related items.  Anyone NOT testing will be required to wait outside.
