The purpose of this net is to check the working condition our equipment and repeaters to make sure everything is ready should we have an emergency. This net convenes every Monday at 8:00 P.M. HST except for the first Monday of the month when we meet in person for a regular Kauai Amateur Radio Club Meeting. This is an open net and after any announcements we will conduct a two round rag chew session follow by your comments.

To check into the net please give your call sign using standard phonetics. Each station will be acknowledged. Any announcements or emergency messages, please call ___________ (your call sign). (pause)

This is _____________ calling all amateur radio operators to join the Kauai Amateur Radio Club Monday evening net. I’ll be the net control station for tonight’s session. My name is ___________ (phonetic spelling of your name) and I’m located in ________________.

The Monday night net brings amateur radio operators together on repeater frequencies 146.92 Mhz on the south side of Kauai and 147.16 on the north side of the island. The net usually convenes every Monday evening at 8:00 P.M. except for the first Monday of the month when we meet in person.

All Radio amateurs are invited to join in, especially visitors. We also acknowledge scanner enthusiasts monitoring the net and encourage those interested in learning more about amateur radio to attend the monthly Kauai Amateur Radio Club meeting usually held on the first Monday of each month at a different location each month. Hopefully someone tonight will mention the next meeting location and date.

This is an open net and after a pause for any immediate announcements we will conduct a two round rag-chew session for your comments. To check into the net please give your call sign slowly using standard phonetics. Each station will be acknowledged individually.
